After several years of struggling to find the right job, Taylor Harkins has created a niche for himself within Goodwill of Orange County's shopgoodwill.com warehouse.

He is known as the warehouse's "Director of Legoland", taking donated Legos and creating unique and highly popular designs that sell for hundreds.

Taylor's work has become a model for how Goodwills around the country handle Legos. "This has been the best job for me," Taylor says. "I really enjoy what I do."

Taylor's life was once controlled and defined by his developmental disabilities. Today, Taylor is well-known, not only in Orange County, but across the U.S., for his abilities - and in particular, his special set of Lego building skills.

Brick by brick, Legos have given Taylor the purpose, pride and dignity that comes from meaningful and fulfilling employment.

Goodwill of Orange County believes that every person, regardless of the barriers they face, deserves the opportunity to work.
